Chiefs of the biggest German Movie Concern “Bavaria Film” recently paid a visit to Crimea to study potentialities of “Yalta Film” for television and movie projects production.

“We, Germans, know about Crimea because of the historical meeting between Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin in the Livadia Palace. In Crimea, we’d like to see the places of such conferences and residences of Russian tsars and Communist leaders. The nature and landscapes of the Crimean south coast are amazing! It’s very similar to southern France”, shared his impressions Mattias Esse, the president of “Bavaria Film”.

During their stay, the German visitors attended shooting areas of “Yalta Film” studio in Sevastopol and held negotiations with its CEO Artur Novikov.

“We study Ukrainian market of TV and film industry. It’s too early to say anything concrete about our cooperation plans but I think we’ll come back to Ukraine and this issue. We have projects which we’d like to film in the Crimean exterior. We saw Crimea as an attractive shooting area”, said Ditter Franz, the president of the “Bavaria Film” Eastern Europe Department.
